February 29, 1792: Frances Callaway is born in Buncombe County, North Carolina. She is the third daughter and ninth child of Thomas and Juda (Moffit?) Callaway.

September 7, 1810: Jesse and Frances marry. Both are 18 years old.

July 16, 1811: Eliza Bartlett, first child of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, is born in Knox County, Tennessee. Both Jesse and Frances are 19 years old.
September 2, 1812: Nancy Bartlett, second child and second daughter of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, is born in Knox County, Tennessee. Both Jesse and Frances are 20 years old.

January 3, 1824: Frances Emmaline Bartlett, eighth child and fifth daughter of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, is born in Knox County, Tennessee. Jesse is 32 years old; Frances is 31.

1825: It is likely in 1825, perhaps in 1826, that Jesse, Frances, and their eight children move from Tennessee to Illinois.

May 9, 1826: James Farrar Bartlett, ninth child and fourth son of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, is born in Illinois. Both Jesse and Frances are 34 years old.

March 17, 1828: Henry Clay Bartlett, tenth child and fifth son of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, is born in Illinois. Both Jesse and Frances are 36 years old.

November 28, 1829: Lucien Lusk Bartlett, eleventh child and sixth son of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, is born in Illinois. Both Jesse and Frances are 37 years old.
December 24, 1829: Eliza Bartlett, first child of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, marries Nathan Arnett McFadin in Schuyler County, Illinois. She is 18 years old; he is 25. She is the first of Jesse and Frances's children to marry and the only one who does not marry in Texas.

December 1831: Jesse, Frances, their children, and Nathan McFadin (daughter Eliza's husband) cross the Red River and enter Texas on their move from Illinois.

May 1832: Jesse, Frances, and their children (except perhaps daughter Eliza, who has married Nathan McFadin) settle on the west bank of the Brazos River, about three miles from present Chappell Hill, Washington County, Texas.

January 17, 1833: Clementina Bartlett, fourth child and third daughter of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, marries Samuel L. Millett. She is 17 years old; he is 31.
March 2, 1833: Cornelia Caroline Bartlett, twelfth child and sixth daughter of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, is born in Texas. Jesse is 41 years old, and Frances turned 41 the day before.
October 25, 1833: Cornelia Caroline Bartlett dies in Texas; she is not quite ten months old.
1834
September 15, 1834: Thomas Nicholas Bartlett, sixth child and second son of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, dies in Texas. He is 14 years old. Both Jesse and Frances are 42 years old.
1836
March 2, 1836: Texas declares its independence from Mexico at a convention at Washington-on-the-Brazos, Texas. Jesse Bartlett, 44 years old, was to have attended the convention but was kept in bed by pneumonia.
April 21, 1836: The Texas army defeats the Mexican army at the battle of San Jacinto, in effect ending the Texas Revolution and ensuring its independence from Mexico. Jesse Bartlett is part of the army detail guarding the civilians at nearby Harrisburg during the battle.

July 15, 1837: Mary Bartlett, mother of Jesse Bartlett, dies in Shakertown (South Union), Logan County, Kentucky, at age 91.

February 1, 1838: Jesse Bartlett dies in Washington County, Texas at age 46. Frances is 45 years old.
September 6, 1838: Nancy Bartlett, second child and second daughter of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, marries James W. Crawford in Washington County, Texas, in a double ceremony with sister Louisa. Nancy's 26th birthday was four days earlier.
September 6, 1838: Juda Louisa Bartlett, fifth child and fourth daughter of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, marries John C. Neill in Washington County, Texas, in a double ceremony with sister Nancy. Louisa is 19 years old (she will be 20 in four days).
1839
April 18, 1839: Joseph Callaway Bartlett, third child and first son of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, marries Amanda Monroe Estes in Washington County, Texas. He is 24 years old; she is 16.
October 23, 1839: Frances Emmaline Bartlett, eighth child and fifth daughter of Jesse and Frances Bartlett, marries John Beldin in Harrison County, Texas (perhaps Harris County). She is 15 years old.
1840
September 20, 1840: Frances Bartlett dies, probably in Washington County, Texas, at age 48. She may have remarried after Jesse's death.
