He retired as an employee of the Sun Oil Co.'s Marcus Hook refinery in 1972, after 32 years, and at the time of his death had worked in the security department at Longwood Gardens since 1976. Survivors included his wife, three step-daughters, a sister, three brothers, his stepmother, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    • His newspaper obituary gives 11 Dec 1979 as his death date, but his tombstone has 10 Dec 1979.8,9,10
